Birthday Party

I recently attended a friend's birthday party held for her 1 year old daughter.  The party was decorated with a carnival theme consisting of face painting, taco stand, cotton candy machine, etc.! The tables were so adorable...I had to share!

Bachi Burger

I recently saw that Bachi Burger was featured on food network's, "Diners Drive-ins and Dives", so I decided to give it a try.  The menu featured delectable choices inspired by Asian influences from the Hawaiian islands.  We ordered the chili fries, just as Guy Fieri recommended on triple D's, and they truly were amazing.  The food is flavorful, boasting a multitude of  unique flavors and combinations.

I have become obsessed with Instagram lately.  I think I am actually beginning to use my Iphone camera more often than my pro camera.  It's so much quicker...right???  These are a few of my latest and most random pics.

I took this shot on the way to work this morning.  It's been raining here in Vegas for the last few days...so I wanted to cherish it with a picture!

My Birthday!!!

I had such a great day.  I was able to spend time with all of my favorite people throughout the day.    I celebrated in the a.m. with my parents/hubby and with our friends in the p.m.  Thank you to all of you for making my day so special!!! 

Birthday cake is always a must!

Ironically, even though the main dishes were all so flavorful,  the side dishes were my favorites!  You have to order the corn and the risotto.  The flavors are amazing!

We had dinner at Mundo located in the World Market Center.  The food is amazing and the ambiance is so inviting.  The weather in Vegas is so nice in October so we had dinner outside on the patio.   However, the inside is much more interesting due to the whimsical decor.   The furniture is chic and the lighting fixtures give the illusion that you are out  on the patio.

Art in the Park

I visited Boulder City today to attend the 49th annual Art in the Park affair.  I love driving into Boulder City.  It is a breath of fresh air to get out of Vegas and see all that the outskirts have to offer.  There is a great selection of eateries, antique stores and sidewalk sales that decorate the main street.

Christina's Treasures thrift store

I purchased a white vintage faux fur coat for $32.43....as you can see on this vintage cash register!  The owner  said it is about 100 years old!

Make sure to check this thrift store out the next time you are in Boulder City.  Amongst the great selection of vintage finds, you can also sort through trinkets and jewels.  On your way out check out the sidewalk sale.

We passed by all of these adorable homes on the way back to the car.  We don't have the luxury of front porches in Vegas.  

I googled the label and found out that this particular label is probably circa 1970's.
