I love the juxtaposition of mixing opposite trends. I think the result always has a "cooler" effect than sticking with one trend from head to toe. It is also more unexpected, thus creating a more aspirational ensemble. For example, in the first look, I paired a sequined pant with a pair of wedge sneakers creating a luxe casual look. You can easily take this look in another direction by simply adding heels and a black jacket. Have some fun and try mixing some of the following trends on your own. Here are a few of my favorites:
- masculine with feminine
- soft fabrics with hard or textured fabrics
- dressy with casual
- night time with day time
