Vegas Magazine job interview

I had to interview someone in the fashion industry for a paper I had to write in my "Fashion Imaging" class the other day. I decided to interview the Vegas magazine editor in chief and was lucky enough to do so. It was an interesting experience....it was a small taste of interviewing a powerful fashion female. I decided to take my Chanel!!

This was a food truck festival that we attended in April. This is hosted in the heart of our downtown strip area. It was very fun, however we waited about 1 hour for each truck!!

BURGER TASTE TEST

Smash Burger vs. Five Guys vs. INN-N-OUT

(this look could easily become preppy, hence my adding the black sandals, silver jewelry, and studded bag to create a hint of edginess with prepiness)

This is a tough decision to make. Can I love both equally? Five guys is very reminiscent of Inn-N-out Burger....i guess it is the East vs. West of Burgers. Five guys has a little more character than INN-N-OUT. It has vats full of roasted peanuts that you can load up on while you wait for your order to be ready. It has a very old school vibe to it....as does INN-N-OUT...minus the peanuts. You are also able to add multiple toppings at Five guys. I have to say that if you are in the mood for a classic burger,  Five guys is amazing because you get the fresh flavor and get to add your own toppings. Smash burger is a great choice if you want a unique flavor. The burgers remind me of what a gourmet burger should taste like. The already created burgers are rich and flavorful. Blue Martini



Haute Hippie mini-skirt, Alexander Wang T, Vince Camuto booties, BCBG bag, necklace was a gift from my beautiful MOM!! It is actually a turquoise necklace with a metal clasp (made to hang your glasses, however, I hung my turquoise pendant)....so much better than glasses!

Sequins!!

I went out the other night for my friend's birthday and decided to wear a mini-skirt due to the climaxing temperature here in Vegas!!! We went to the Blue Martini and enjoyed some drinks...Blue Martini is a locals favorite....just in case you would like to visit on your next trip!

Hi guys!!!

I haven't had time to blog lately so I thought I would play catch up and at least get one post in. I just go back from an amazing European vacation....so many pictures to post!! Anyways, I went to Ricky Martin's concert here in town and I wanted to let you guys know that he was so amazing! He is so full of energy and has an amazing stage presence. He is very sexually expressive, not to mention erotic dancer! He knows who he is and his confidence is beautiful and inspiring. It was so refreshing to hear him speak with such conviction, so if he comes to your town....don't miss it!!! I wore this really cool Elizabeth & James dress that my Mom bought me for my birthday. It has these incredible architectural shoulders and detailed beading to die for. The back is open and the material is flattering for everyone. Thanks Mary Kate & Ashley!!! I love their clothing.

Dinner at STK

I visited STK steakhouse at The Cosmopolitan a few weeks ago and I have to say it is one of the best steakhouses I have been to in a long time. They had the best sliders! You definitely have to start with those! It is the perfect restaurant to visit if you are looking for a fun and hip atmosphere.

Encore

This was taken inside Encore hotel & casino. For those of you who have never been to Encore, it is heavily laden with the color red. It is everywhere. The color adds a sultry vibe to the rich atmosphere. We went to the nightclub there called XS followed by their other nightclub Surrender.

Chandelier Bar

Each floor in the parking lot also has a theme. This one was covered in air brush art!

This weekend we went to Vegas's newest club, Marquee. It is located in my favorite hotel in Las Vegas, The Cosmopolitan. This club is as chic and creatively designed as the hotel it resides in. Everything is top notch from the flooring to the lighting to the eclectic choices of furniture. I love the chandelier bar located in the center of The Cosmo. It is three stories high and decadently draped completely with thick ropes of Swarovski crystals. The draping literally is designed to look like you are inside of a chandelier! I also love one of the seating areas located on the upper levels that is conveniently located across from a pool table lounge. The aforementioned seating area consists of vintage furniture, books, and decor. It is the epitome of vintage chic, which leads me to talk about the chic decor housed in Marquee, the club at Cosmo. This club has so many different rooms, each meticulously designed with its very own theme. My favorite room is the "Library".  It has a pool table and is decorated with books. I love my books! You have to check it out for yourself next time you are in Vegas.

Winter Casual

I love this poncho. It used to be my Mom's when she was younger. She bought it when she was living in Venezuela and has now passed it on to me. Isn't it so cool? These boots are amazing! I bought them about eight years ago at Kenneth Cole and they never go out of style. They seem to make every outfit better!
