There are always excuses to buy new outfits....New Year's Eve being one of them!  Last fashion acquirement of the 2011 year....a new forest green sequined dress.  I wore it with my Grandmother's vintage fur cape which was gorgeous.  We spent the evening bringing in the new year at the Cosmopolitan hotel watching Stevie Wonder work his musical magic.

I found this amazing jacket while perusing garage sales with my Mom.  It came with a matching skirt for $5.00!  I tried it on and the fit was somehow tailored just for me.  The gold heart buttons added such an amazing detail to this jacket and for $5.00 I had to get it.  I researched the label when I got home after deciding that both the cut and the fabric could belong to nothing less than a designer label.  I discovered that this was the lower end label for Escada which launched in the 80's! 

Laurel is one of Escada’s lower priced lines. The Laurel label was launched in 1980.

NOVE

BCBG boots, James Perse sweater, Hudson jeans, Francesco Biasca bag, F21 shirt NOVE is an amazing restaurant at the Palms Hotel. The coolest feature is that it is located on the 51st floor, so you can feast your taste buds and your eyes with the amazing views!  I enjoyed happy hour at Nove the other day and it was so tasty.  Happy hours are so much more prominent since the recession began which allows foodies like me to enjoy the best of the best!

If you haven't been to Sugar Factory at the Paris hotel....you must go.  The decor is so chic and the setting is perfect for brunch, lunch, or dinner.  It is open all day!! On your way out, you have to check out their candy shop and pick up some edible souvenirs.
