My First Chanel!!!

OMG! CHANEL! I have finally acquired my most coveted fashion piece ever, my 2.55 Chanel bag. It is so beautiful and intricately designed. I read an article on the design of a Chanel bag, and the process is quite intense. During the production of the Chanel 2.55 bag, there are 180 essential operations performed on each bag. It can take anywhere from 6 to 15 craftspeople working up to 18 hours for each purse. I also found out when I purchased my bag that you can purchase a refurbishment on your bag at any time for about $100! They will retouch the leather and replace all of the hardware! I love my bag so much! It was a gift from my husband! It absolutely goes with everything. I wear it when I get dressed up and I also wear it with more casual outfits. The pictures up above are my first outing with the bag.
CHANEL TRIVIA: Does anyone know how the bag was named?
ANSWER: Mademoiselle Coco Chanel named the bag for its February 1955 debut!
Thank you Coco for such a classic wardrobe essential.

Androgyny

French Connection shorts, F21 vest, Juicy Couture tie, BCBG bag
I love me a cute bow tie or necktie any day! The androgynous look can be so empowering! I have so many bow ties and neckties ranging from all of the colors of the rainbow. The best place to buy them is in the boys section of any department store. They are petite and inexpensive! This accessory definitely adds some personality to any casual outfit and makes a statement to any work outfit. They are easy to wear and they don't have to match your outfit perfectly. Mix and match prints and colors. I wore mine to the No Doubt concert! My outfit consisted of velvet black French Connection shorts, Juicy Couture tie, Heritage sweater vest, and knee high socks.

Strolling through Town Square Mall

These pictures were taken outside while strolling around Town Square Mall in Las Vegas. Town Square is my favorite mall in Las Vegas! It is an outdoor mall and it makes me feel like I am anywhere but the desert when I am there. You can spend the entire day shopping, eating, watching movies and indulging in your favorite frozen craving at Yogurtland! Can you guess what store window this is? answer at bottom.......

I love embroideries!!!!!!!!
Isn't the detail exquisite!

I love, love, love vintage shopping. You can find the most unexpected treasures in thrift stores or my personal favorite, garage sales! The best part is that not only will no one else have it, but it can be yours for a fraction of the price......meaning you can buy more! I have so many great vintage pieces. One of my favorites is a 70's leather trench with a faux-fur collar that I bought for $20 a few years ago at Salvation Army. I receive so many complements on that coat!  It is in perfect condition. You definitely have to be patient and knowledgeable so you don't miss out on a good find. My favorite fashion find is a fringed white embroidered shawl that i purchased at a garage sale for $5.00! I love to wear it with distressed jeans to give it a more casual and updated feel. Anyways, Happy Hunting!

Club Prive

French Connection blouse, Michael Kors shoes

I am obsessed with all things fashion. I love mixing high end pieces with less expensive pieces to create an overall luxe look. I believe that most of us like to do the same, just don't quite know how to achieve the look. Thus, I thought, why not create a blog for those who want to do the same. I, like most of you, enjoy surfing the web and fashion magazines to search for styling ideas. The reality is that most of us, including myself, cannot afford most of the items that we covet from those oh so beautiful pages. I hunt for deals and steals and then mix and match to emulate those same looks. The fun thing about living in Las Vegas is that there are so many opportunities to get dressed up and even more opportunities to go shopping. My first blog is a long night after Prive Night Club. So here goes......
