Florida Cafe

This Cuban restaurant is located on Las Vegas Blvd. heading north.  It should be a definite stop on your "foodie" list while visiting Las Vegas.  The prices are reasonable and the food is very tasty.  My favorite part of this stop is the old school vibe.  It hasn't been touched by the glitz and glam side of Vegas.....it still has an old Vegas vibe.

I am a sucker for friend plantain.

Palazzo

If you are a foodie, like myself, and are looking for a nice way to enjoy good food for a small price than happy hours are the way to go on the strip.  Start out by having 2 for 1 drinks at Lavo located in the Palazzo hotel & casino.  They offer a complimentary margherita pizza with your drinks.  You can then move on to Sushi Samba and enjoy happy hour appetizers at the bar.  This is one of my favorite places to dine.  It is a unique fusion restaurant....Brazil meets Japan. Have fun!

NY Fashion Week

It would be a dream come true to attend Fashion Week in New York City!  I would even settle for stalking the tent and just capturing all of the opulence that the street stylers have to offer.  It is a definite must on my bucket list.  For now,  I will satisfy my craving by stalking the instagramers and the fashion bloggers who are so dedicated to bringing the city directly to us.  Hence my post....I can only share what I would wear if someone would be so kind to invite me!!!  What would you wear?

Rose Bowl Flea Market

I
I visited the Rose Bowl flea market for the first time this weekend.  It is such an amazing thrifting venue for those of you who are vintage aficionados like myself.  It is about a 4 hour drive from Las Vegas but it is definitely worth it.  We spent 6 hours walking up and down aisles that were filled with vintage collections, re-purposed items, furniture, clothing, accessories, and much more.  I should warn you that the vendors are somewhat categorized.  If you decide to make the drive, have a game plan as to where you would like to spend most of your time "hunting".  I was personally drawn to the area located over a small bridge that is designated by a "vintage clothing" banner.  The next time I drive out, I will definitely spend my entire day sifting through that particular area.   The flea market is held every second Sunday of every month.  It is a great way to spend an afternoon.  You can shop, eat, and people watch. That is another great point that I must mention.  Everyone is dressed with intentional style.  Even the vendors have unique and artistic approaches to their daily garb.  You may also run into a few celebrities .....We happened to see Dustin Hoffman on the way out.   You will probably be way too involved into your shopping to even care.  Have fun!!!

Books turned clocks.....

This was my favorite booth.....vintage designer pieces!!!

Watch shows on how to perfect your home  or your personal style with vintage items.  I love watching "I brake for yard sales" or you can buy the book version.
